I took care of the structure of the app and its technical implementation
The name of our App is HuDog, which as you have seen comes from the union of Human and Dog, and it is the way that we choose to realize our App Statement, that was about an app that helps dog owners to keep the hearing of their dog healthy through a frequency test and a Hide & Seek game.
Obviously, the main capability that we have decided to develop are the iPhone speakers, a choice that forced us to study and research a lot about their functioning, the maximum frequencies they can reproduce and the compatibility with the frequencies useful for the dog hearing test.
Then, moving on to the actual app, the first section that appears to the user is that of onboarding, of which we can see one of the screens here. This section will be reproduced only the first time the app is opened, and it’ll introduce all the key concepts behind the app, so the frequency sounds’ test and the BAER report.
The main section of the app is obviously the test, which begins with a short start screen to recap the steps of the test, and then for each of the three types of frequencies that must be heard by the dog, it will present two screens, one where the user will reproduce the sound itself, by tapping on the gif of a sound wave, and one where the user can submit the possible feedbacks shown by his dog, calibrated according to the BAER test.
The test results, of course, are included in a card-like report screen, which provides a comment on the outcome and which, if tapped, shows a recap of each individual feedback entered. Obviously, before carrying out the first test, there will be a card placeholder that will lead the user to start.
Finally, we would like to show you a feature that we have not been able to implement but that we have designed, that is the play section, where the user will choose the noise of an animal, with an attached frequency, then he will hide the iPhone, and it will start to reproduce the chosen verse for an amount of time already set by the user before, and the dog will have to find the phone relying on the sound.
